Wow! I’m already at 100 photos. That’s about 1/40 a number of photos Kim Kardashian has posted on her Instagram! Looking at them now, it seems like a lot less than I originally anticipated. I love it because every single one of them means something to me. When I look at them, I know exactly where and when I took them. All of my pictures have a story to tell, seeing them makes me feel the way I felt in that moment. Happy, nervous, or hungry, at the end of it all, I’m proud of what I have done. School was starting pretty soon when I took these photos. I went downtown with a friend as a final goodbye to the summer. She arrived a little late, and I arrived extremely early so I ended up walking Downtown by myself a bit and taking pictures of things around Asheville. The people where I live are very open-minded and kind, so I had a few people ask me to take pictures of them, and others posing for me. Photography really makes me look at the world differently. I know that sounds super over dramatic considering how long I’ve been doing this, but it’s true! I find myself getting mad when I’m out without my camera because of all the lost photo ops. Continue reading “Fun Times”
Oh my god. This is going to take up a lot more time than I previously anticipated. Taking pictures is tricky enough. There are so many things I don’t have a clue about and the jargon is unbearable! It took me 20 minutes to find the CF card on my camera. I’m screwed. Continue reading “Somebody Help Me.”
The 100 Project is an assignment for journalism students with GF Media. Students must come up with a way to add to their life involving the number 100. They could take 100 pictures, or work their way up to drinking 100 ounces of water. This project gave students the chance to change themselves for the better over the summer.
